About our privacy policy

Marjon Snieders Shoes, Fashion &More cares a lot about your privacy. That is why we only process data that we need for (the improvement of) our services and handle the information we have collected about you and your use of our services with care. We never make your information available to third parties for commercial purposes.

This privacy policy applies to the use of the website and the services provided by Marjon Snieders Shoes, Fashion &More. The effective date for the validity of these terms and conditions is 24/05/2018, with the publication of a new version the validity of all previous versions will expire. This privacy policy describes what information about you is collected by us, what this information is used for and with whom and under what conditions this information may be shared with third parties. We also explain to you how we store your data and how we protect your data against misuse and what rights you have with regard to the personal data you provide to us.

About the data processing

Below you can read how we process your data, where we store them (or have them stored), what security techniques we use and for whom the data is transparent.

Web shop software and web hosting

Our webshop is developed with software from Magento. This online platform is managed by our web builder Weprovide. We have chosen for our webhosting for the company Hipex through a hosting contract with our web builder Weprovide. Personal data you provide on behalf of our

services made available to us, are shared with this party. Weprovide has access to your data to provide us with (technical) support, they will never use your data for any other purpose. Weprovide is obliged to take appropriate security measures on the basis of the agreement we have concluded with them. These security measures consist of the application of SSL encryption, a strong password policy and secure data storage. Weprovide reserves the right to share collected data within its own group of companies and affiliated partners in order to further improve its services. Weprovide takes into account the applicable legal retention periods for (personal) data. Backups are regularly made to prevent loss of data.

E-mail and mailing lists

 Our website uses Campaign Monitor, a third party that handles email traffic from our website and the sending of any newsletters. Also for this we have a subscription contract with our web builder Weprovide. All confirmation emails that you receive from our website and web forms are sent through the servers of Campaign Monitor. Campaign Monitor will never use your name and email address for its own purposes. At the bottom of every email that is sent automatically through our website you will see the 'unsubscribe' link. If you click on this link you will no longer receive e-mail from our website. This can seriously reduce the functionality of our website! Your personal data will be stored securely by Campaign Monitor. Campaign Monitor uses cookies and other Internet technologies that provide insight into whether emails are opened and read. Campaign Monitor reserves the right to use your information to further improve its services and to share information with third parties as part of this process.

Payment Processors

For handling (part of) the payments in our webshop we use the Buckaroo platform. Buckaroo processes your name, address and place of residence and your payment information such as your bank account or credit card number. Buckaroo has taken appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal data. Buckaroo reserves the right to use your data to further improve the service and in that context (anonymized) data to share with third parties. Buckaroo shares personal data and information relating to your financial position with credit rating agencies in case of an application for a deferred payment (credit facility). All of the above safeguards with respect to the protection of your personal data also apply to the parts of Buckaroo's services for which they engage third parties. Buckaroo does not retain your data longer than permitted by law.

Reviews

 We collect reviews through the Trustpilot platform. If you leave a review through Trustpilot you are required to provide your name, place of residence and email address. Trustpilot shares this information with

us, so that we can link the review to your order. Trustpilot publishes your name and place of residence

also on its own website. In some cases Trustpilot may contact you to provide an explanation of your review. In case we invite you to leave a review we will share your name and email address with Trustpilot. They will use this information for the sole purpose of inviting you to leave a review. Trustpilot has taken appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal data. Trustpilot reserves the right to engage third parties for the purpose of providing the service, for this we have given Trustpilot permission. All above mentioned guarantees concerning the protection of your personal data are also applicable to the parts of the service for which Trustpilot engages third parties.

Shipping and logistics

If you place an order with us it is our job to have your package delivered to you. We use the services of PostNL to carry out the deliveries. It is therefore necessary that we share your name, address and place of residence information with PostNL. PostNL uses this information only for the purpose of carrying out the agreement. In the event that PostNL engages subcontractors, PostNL will also make your information available to these parties.

Invoicing and accounting

We use the services of Lightspeed and KING accounting software to keep our administration and bookkeeping up to date. We share your name, address and place of residence details and details regarding your order. These details are used for the administration of sales invoices. Your personal data is sent and stored in a protected manner. Lightspeed and KING accounting software is obliged to secrecy and will treat your data confidentially. lightspeed and KING accounting software does not use your personal data for other purposes than described above.

External sales channels

We sell (part of) our products through the platform of Beslist.nl, Tobedressed.nl and Winkelstraat.nl. If you place an order through this platform Beslist.nl shares your order and personal information with us. We use this information to process your order. We handle your information confidentially and have appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your information from loss and unauthorized use.

Purpose of data processing

General purpose of processing

We use your data exclusively for the purpose of providing our services. This means that the purpose of processing is always directly related to the order you provide. We do not use your data for (targeted) marketing. If you share data with us and we use this data - other than at your request - to contact you at a later time, we ask your explicit permission to do so. Your data will not be shared with third parties, other than to comply with accounting and other administrative obligations. These third parties are all bound to secrecy on the basis of the agreement between them and us or an oath or legal obligation.

Automatically collected data

Data that are automatically collected by our website are processed for the purpose of further improving our services. These data (e.g. your IP address, web browser and operating system) are not personal data.

Cooperation with tax and criminal investigations

If applicable, Marjon Snieders Shoes, Fashion &More may be required by law to share your data in connection with governmental tax or criminal investigations. In such a case we are forced to share your data, but we will oppose this within the possibilities offered to us by law.

Retention periods

We keep your data as long as you are our client. This means that we will keep your client profile until you indicate that you no longer wish to use our services. If you indicate this to us, we will also take this as a forgetful request. Pursuant to applicable administrative obligations, we have to keep invoices with your (personal) data, so we will keep this data for as long as the applicable period runs. Employees, however, no longer have access to your client profile and documents that we have produced in response to your order.

Your rights

Pursuant to applicable Dutch and European legislation, you, as a data subject, have certain rights with respect to the personal data processed by us or on our behalf. We explain below which rights these are and how you can invoke these rights. In principle, in order to prevent misuse, we only send copies and copies of your data to your e-mail address already known to us. If your request is granted, we will send you a confirmation that the data has been modified at the e-mail address we have on file.

You always have the right to limit the data that we process (or have processed) relating to your person or that can be traced back to you. You can make a request to that effect to our contact person for privacy matters. You will then receive a response to your request within 30 days. If your request is granted, we will send you a confirmation at the e-mail address known to us that the data will no longer be processed until you lift the restriction.

Right to transferability

You always have the right to have the data that we process (or have processed) and that relate to your person or that can be traced back to you, executed by another party. You can make a request to that effect to our contact person for privacy matters. You will then receive a response to your request within 30 days. If your request is granted, we will send you copies or copies of all data about you that we have processed or that have been processed on our behalf by other processors or third parties at the e-mail address known to us. In all probability, we will no longer be able to continue to provide the service in such a case because the secure linking of data files can then no longer be guaranteed.

Right of objection and other rights
